8. Protection in Other Countries
It is not possible to obtain an "international" integrated circuit topography registration. In fact, many countries have not yet enacted protection for integrated circuit topographies, even for their own citizens. However, protection for Canadians may be obtained in most of our major trading partners, including, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
